The first Sino-US strategic and economic dialogue

The first round of the Sino-US strategic and economic dialogue ended 28 February in Washington. The parties declare that the United States President Barack Obama will be invited by the Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to China this year. Both sides agreed that the first round of dialogue has achieved positive outcomes for the future work of the Foundation.

Sides positively assess the current development of Sino-US relations, u.s.-China relations to maintain a strong, positive trend. The dialogue between the two sides in April Summit to enhance bilateral relations provides important framework.

Both sides stressed that close high-level contact and communication on the development of Sino-US relations have an irreplaceable role, on the recent improvements in relations between the two armies, and agreed to be sure the two armies will expand exchanges between the various levels.

The United States during the dialogue introduced its being developed by a Chinese citizen to speed up the processing of visas to the United States, the new policy is willing to cooperate with China on this issue in close consultation. China reiterated its hope that the United States extending to the United States ' visa facilitation.

In view of the law on the importance of the United States, the two sides decided to resume dialogue and American legal experts and seek to the end of the year prior to the next round of the dialogue on human rights.
